DESCRIPTION
J.J. Perry was born in Stafford, Texas, and began his martial arts training in 1975. He earned his black belt for Tae Kwon Do at the age of 12 and twice won the Junior National Tae Kwon Do Championship. As a young adult J.J. joined the Army (82nd Airborne Corps, Parachute Infantry Regiment) where he earned a combat infantry badge for Operation Just Cause Panama (1989), won several Armed Forces Tae Kwon Do Championships and became a fluent speaker of Korean and Spanish. Upon leaving the military, J.J. moved to Los Angeles and began his career stunt performing,stunt coordinating and second unit directing. He has had over 30 years of martial arts experience including a 5th-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a 2nd-degree on Hapkido and has experience with a multitude of weapons. J.J. has worked on 136 feature films, 250 episodes of television and 36 commercials in 35 countries.
